The Motions In Our Oceans

What does that mean?

What are the motions? The motions are our emotions. For just a second think back to the past month or two of your life. What emotions did you feel? Did you experience happiness? Were you angry? What sadness occurred? You probably felt many different feelings. This is a perfect example and proof that our emotions are like waves… they always come and go then make their way around again.

What is our ocean?

While the waves are our emotions, the ocean is our life. We are floating through our ocean (our life) experiencing the motions (emotions) and trying to navigate it all. It can be really confusing, frustrating, and simply annoying at times. So how the heck do we balance it all out? How do we go through life and gain grounding?

There are many ways to cater to our inner being.

To cater to our inner being is to nourish our soul, fuel our roots, and find grounding. One can be grounded and master emotional strength through…

  • Meditation

  • Physical movement

  • Journaling

  • Talking to someone

  • Finding a healthy habit

  • Feeding your mind with healthy music, podcast, tv shows, etc.

  • Surround yourself with those wanting the most in life

  • Eating a balanced diet

  • Using natural products

The first thing one must do is to decide.

Once we decide we want more in life.

Once we decide we want to be emotionally and mentally stable.

Once we decide to put ourselves first.

That’s when we begin to shape our lives to fit that lifestyle. We have to be intentional.
